With multiple locations across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, we help make the energy sector more sustainable by converting organic waste streams into renewable energy. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the reliability of our installations. You organize maintenance efficiently, prevent downtime and help our sites perform at their best. You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and enjoy helping build and improve our maintenance organization.
What you'll do
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for organizing, planning and continuously improving the maintenance of our installations. You will work closely with the COO, production teams, suppliers and service partners to maximize the availability and reliability of our assets.
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
- Coordinating maintenance activities with internal colleagues and external service providers.
- Ensuring maintenance work has minimal impact on production.
- Supervising and inspecting maintenance carried out by internal teams and external contractors.
- Analyzing recurring failures and implementing structural improvements.
- Coordinating statutory inspections and certifications, including electrical installations, ATEX compliance, and environmental and safety regulations.
- Monitoring maintenance costs and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Establishing and further developing a professional maintenance management system.
- Supporting the development of a future-proof service and maintenance team.
What you'll bring
You are a practical engineer who enjoys taking ownership. You don't just identify opportunities for improvement, you make sure they happen. You're comfortable working hands-on in the field when needed and are willing to travel regularly between our different sites.
In addition, you have:
- A minimum of an MBO Level 4 technical qualification or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role.
- Experience with biogas technology, biomethane installations, CHP (Combined Heat and Power) systems, and PLC/SCADA systems.
- Good command of both Dutch and English. German is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel regularly.
