Looking for a role where you can make a direct impact on the energy transition? Byont is a fast-growing producer of biogas. With multiple locations across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, we help make the energy sector more sustainable by converting organic waste streams into renewable energy.

To strengthen our service team, we are looking for a Service Technician. In this role, you'll be on the road regularly, working across multiple sites to ensure our installations operate safely, reliably and at peak performance. You enjoy solving technical challenges, don't mind getting your hands dirty and are eager to help build a growing service organization.

What you'll do

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on our installations. You'll diagnose and resolve faults independently while continuously improving the reliability and performance of our assets.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on our installations.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and process-related faults.
• Responding to urgent breakdowns and, when required, providing support outside regular working hours.
• Assisting and supervising maintenance work carried out by external service partners.
• Analyzing recurring failures and proposing structural improvements.
• Performing periodic inspections and statutory checks, including electrical installations, ATEX compliance, and environmental and safety regulations.
• Recording completed work, materials used and working hours in the maintenance management system.
• Actively contributing to the development of a professional service and maintenance team.

What you'll bring

In addition, you have:

• A minimum MBO Level 3 or 4 technical qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of experience as a Service Engineer, Maintenance Technician or Field Service Technician.
• Experience with biogas technology, biomethane installations, CHP (Combined Heat and Power) systems, refrigeration technology and PLC/SCADA systems is an advantage.
• A valid Category B driving licence. A BE licence is a plus.
• Good command of Dutch and English. German is considered an advantage.
• Willingness to travel regularly between our sites in the Netherlands and Belgium.

• A gross monthly salary between €3,200 and €4,500, depending on your knowledge and experience.
